Description
The City of Creedmoor, along with the Town of Butner, the City of Oxford, the Town of Stem, and Granville County are excited to announce the return of the annual Firework Show at Lake Holt. This traditional event promises an evening filled with patriotic spirit, entertainment, and a dazzling fireworks display.
Scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Lake Holt (1100 Lake Holt Road, Butner). Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as no admittance will be permitted after 8:45 p.m. The event kicks off at 6pm with DJ Trey Snide spinning tunes to keep the crowd energized until the fireworks light up the sky at approximately 9:15pm.
Local law enforcement agencies, including the Creedmoor Police Department, Butner Public Safety, Oxford Police Department, Granville County Sheriff’s Department, Creedmoor Fire Department, and Stem Fire Department, will be ensuring a safe and secure environment for all attendees.
A variety of local food trucks will be on-site offering delicious concessions, cold treats, and beverages. It's important to note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted at the event.
Organizers advise attendees to dress in their most patriotic attire and bring along a lawn chair, blanket, bug spray, and flashlight for maximum comfort. As a consideration for all, pets are requested to be left at home due to the loud nature of the fireworks.
While the event is made possible through the support of local government, donations from civic groups, citizens, and organizations play a crucial role in its success. Those interested in contributing can donate online or use the donation boxes available at the event entrance.
