About The Publisher: Hi, I'm Rachel

Hi! I'm Rachel, the publisher of Macaroni Kid's Durham and South Durham/Chapel Hill sites. I launched Hulafrog's Durham-Chapel Hill site in 2014 and managed it until CertifiKid's acquisition in 2023.

I look forward to diving in and quickly building this site into a valuable resource for the community to discover family-friendly events and businesses.

When I'm not typing away furiously on my keyboard, I like to hike, run, paddleboard, and spend time with my kids (ages 9 and 7) and my husband. I've lived in Durham since 2006.
