Carolina Theatre closes their series with stories and traditions from India

Carolina Theatre of Durham Family Saturday Series is coming to a close, and to mark their close with storytelling and rich tradition from- India!



Carolina Theatre has invited storyteller and multidisciplinary teaching artist Usha Rajagopalan this Saturday, to share and engage the community in the rich traditions and stories rooted in her native country of India!


Usha Rajagopalan is has a vibrant history of being a storyteller, puppet maker, and visual artist. She is a recipient of both the Durham Arts Council Emerging Artist Grant Award and the Kathryn Wallace Foundation Community Award. Rajagopalan most recent noted accomplishment has been in 2017, in which she produced an acclaimed documentary titled Remarkable Journey, documenting Indian immigrant life.


With years of experience telling stories and sharing in puppetry both nationally and internationally, Usha Rajagopalan is expected to bring a performance that will have children and adults responding with introspection and delight!
