Flap, fly, and flock to the Museum of Life and Science for a Bird Bonanza! Start the season off with egg-cellent opportunities to learn about our avian friends! Learn from local experts like Stacy Lewis and NC Durham Master Gardeners and participate in fun hands-on activities.
Join us to explore:
- Build a bird nests during our drop-in program in Hideaway Woods
- Design your very own birds nest with Stacy Lewis.
- Join our birding challenges inspired by our park Naturalist, Ranger Greg! See how many birds you can spot on your visit!

Want even more to celebrate? We’re holding an early morning nature walk at 8 am before the Museum opens, to get a peek at the wildlife on campus before the crowds arrive! Our Rangers will showcase some of the native flora that makes our campus beautiful, and any fauna that decides to make an appearance (keep your eyes sharp- it’s the season for migratory birds)!
