Hill Learning Center
Founded in 1977, Hill Learning Center is a Durham-based nonprofit that supports students who learn differently. Hill serves students in grades K–12, helping them build academic skills, confidence, and independence.
Hill School
Hill School is a half-day academic program for students in grades 1–12. Students attend Hill for part of the day and their base school for the remainder, receiving targeted instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive function skills. Hill offers need-based financial aid to support access for families.
Hill Summer
Hill Summer includes a five-week academic summer program with small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math, as well as a 1-to-1 Reading Intensive for students who need daily literacy support.
Tutoring
Hill offers year-round tutoring for students in grades K–12, with flexible scheduling and individualized support in reading, writing, math, and executive function skills.
Across all programs, Hill’s educators use research-based, multisensory instruction to support students with learning differences, attention challenges, and gaps in foundational skills.
